Just checked out these two new soundtrack releases this week and we’re buzzing!

Devonté Hynes aka Blood Orange has been a busy bee. He's just scored HBO’s revival of US drama In Treatment and has also written and recorded the track Born To Be for the political thriller Beckett on Netflix.

And the mighty Mica Levi is back with an avant-garde xylophone frenzie of a score for the dark comedy Zola, a story based on a viral Twitter thread about two women who travel to Florida for a wild weekend. Variety calls it ’scandalously intoxicating’.

THE NEEDLE DROP: Master music supervisor Ian Neil chooses Peppino Gagliardi’s Che Vuole Questa Musica Stasera which he dropped into The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

Ian says - Another Guy Ritchie film for my latest Needle Drop of which I make no apologies as Ritchie is a director that uses music to full effect. And huge credit to the editor James Herbert here. He edits this with such great effectiveness and has the sense to pick one of the handful of songs I suggested for this scene. The casualness of Henry Cavill eating his sandwich and drinking his wine, listening to this tune while his partner is drowning, is such a great scene. The song has over 13 million listens now on Spotify - I am sure it was only a few hundred thousand when we selected it back then. So it’s always a true joy to see a song find a new life and new fans through a cool movie sync.

Juliet Martin And Maggie Phillips Nominated For A Music Week Award For Best Sync Of The Year!

Excited to share the news that Juliet Martin and Maggie Phillips have been nominated for Sync of the Year at the Music Week Awards for their incredible work on Normal People.

The song they placed was the spellbinding Berlin by RY X - again showing us why Juliet and Maggie are such titans of the industry.
