We were thrilled to team up with Lionsgate and Soho House to bring the Grammy and Emmy-nominated film composer, Lorne Balfe, to the Electric Cinema in London, where Lorne led a 12-piece orchestra through a one-off performance of his majestic score for the heavyweight biopic, Churchill.
You’ll have heard Lorne's music across a dizzying range of projects, from The Lego Batman Movie, Assassin’s Creed, Kung Fu Panda, and most recently alongside Hans Zimmer’s score for Christopher Nolan’s blockbuster, Dunkirk.
Once the orchestra did their bit, Edith Bowman, who hosted the evening for us, was joined on stage by Lorne, the movie's director, Jonathan Teplitzky, and the man that played the man himself, Brian Cox, for a Q&A where the guys discussed in detail how they brought this very special story to life.
A great night was had by all.
A special thanks to The Director of Cinema at Soho House, Mandy Kean, for helping us bring this all together.
